MIHS attending psychiatrist Dr. Esad Boskailo spent a year in six concentration camps during the Bosnian war. He endured torture and starvation and doctored other torture victims before being freed by UN troops. Today, he uses his experiences to help trauma victims and train psychiatry residents on how to treat traumatic disorders.
