Personal History and Interests

Michael Heroin, MD is a Lt. Col. in the United States Air Force Reserve and received an Air Force Commendation Medal for his service in the Global War on Terror. Dr. Herion’s military experience inspired his desire to continue to be of service to others as an ophthalmologist, driving his commitment to providing high quality, patient-centered care to support the eye health and vision of the community.

A proud Sun Devil, he completed his undergraduate degree at attended Arizona State University in Tempe and can be found in the stands a Sun Devil Stadium cheering on his alma mater at home football games. He also enjoys spending time outside, skiing and scuba diving.
