What was your main motivation in becoming a family nurse practitioner?
I became a family nurse practitioner because I wanted to make a difference in my local community by caring for patients of all ages. I knew that I could have a positive impact by providing quality, patient-centered care.
What is the best part of your job?
The best part of my job is knowing that the care I’m providing is making a positive difference for my patients and health outcomes in my community.
Do you have any research interests?
Yes, a research interest of mine is holistic medicine and the positive effects it has on patient care.
Who is someone who has had a profound influence on your life?
A mentor who has always helped me find my way and has had a profound influence on my life is my father. He has taught me, through dedication, perseverance, and faith, that anything in life is possible. I never lost sight of that, especially with my father’s support and never-ending love. He is my guiding light in my successes in the nursing community and in life.
What do you like to do when you are not at DMG?
I have a beautiful family that I enjoy spending all of my free time with. Our hobbies include hiking, camping, fishing, riding off road vehicles, and spending time with our extended family.
