What is the endocrine system?
The endocrine system is made up of many of glands that work together in your body to release hormones, that impact how different organs in your body function. If the endocrine system is not functioning properly, it can result in:
Adrenal conditions
Calcium disorders- too little or too much calcium in the blood (hypocalcemia/hypercalcemia)
Diabetes (types 1 and 2)
Endocrine disorders during pregnancy
Metabolic syndrome
Pituitary disease
Thyroid disorders (hyperthyroidism/hypothyroidism), including Graves’ disease
