Educational Background
Personal History and Interests
Maggie Moulton, PA-C believes it is her “responsibility in medicine is to care for each patient as a whole person- not just a diagnosis- by connecting with them on a human level.”
She attended Idaho State University for her undergraduate and graduate programs and holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and a Master of Physician Assistant Studies. Committed to academic excellence, she graduated with Honors distinction and was on the Dean’s List.
During her undergraduate program, Maggie played on the university’s Division 1 women’s soccer team and was an active student athlete, participating in the:
- Big Sky Conference Student Athlete Advisory Committee
- Campus Student Athlete Advisory Committee
- Pre-Physician Assistant Association
She was also selected by the 2018 U.S. Olympic Committee as one of only 30 participants in Finding Leaders Among Minorities Everywhere (FLAME), a one month program at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado. During the program, Maggie and her team were tasked with creating a solution for the Weightlifting National Governing Body to increase membership among those with sensory impairments, who do not require modifications to participate.
As a physician assistant, Maggie has thrived caring for patients in a fast-paced, challenging environment. She began her career serving patients in a busy urgent care clinic, where she managed patients with diverse, acute medical needs, including colds and flu, laceration repair, foreign body removal from the skin, eyes and ears, skin biopsies, lesion removal, abscess incision and drainage, wound care, burn treatment and splinting and fracture management.
In addition to be certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, Maggie is certified by the American Society for Addiction Medicine for “Medication Assisted Treatment – Parts 1 and 2.”
Outside of work, she enjoys being outdoors, particularly hiking and camping. Maggie grew up playing soccer and remains an avid athlete, playing pickleball and other sports. She also enjoys music and used to play piano often in her free time. With a love of baking, Maggie also enjoys sharing this passion with her family, with whom she is close.
