Personal History and Interests

“As a nurse practitioner, my philosophy is to provide high quality, individualized care to each of my patients geared towards their unique situation and needs with great compassion for the patient and their family,” shared Kathleen Galekovic, FNP-C.

Kathleen cares for patients in the DMG CRS Comprehensive Assessment Clinic and is one of the first DMG CRS medical providers with whom our young patients and their families interact. In this role, she evaluates the child to understand their unique needs and develops a customized treatment plan to include the appropriate medical specialists and therapy programs.

Having a passion for children, Kathleen wrote a children’s book called, “Simon and Oliver: The Power of Dreams.” The book’s primary characters are a physically challenged boy and his dog and was inspired by her rescue dog. Her creative side also includes playing the piano, painting, drawing, and photography.

Kathleen’s commitment to providing quality medical care extends beyond her immediate community. She visits Kenya annually on medical mission trips.
